OUR
STORY
In the early 1900s it wasn’t hard to find Mr. Bert Jordan,
the owner of the Majestic No. 1 Theatre. Dressed in a tuxedo,
he would stand outside the box office each day welcoming eager
moviegoers. He was an ever present fixture of Downtown Memphis
Main Street hospitality, waving to passers-by and tourists on
trolleys. Today, we carry on that same spirit established by
Mr. Jordan nearly 100 years ago.
Named in honor of the original theatre, The Majestic Grille
has become a favorite spot of locals and tourists alike, winning
accolades in regional and national press. While you won’t
see too many tuxedos here these days, you will experience delicious
food made from the freshest local ingredients. You’ll
find gracious service, classic cocktails and unique wine —
all in a sophisticated, yet comfortable surrounding that pays
tribute to the rich history of the building and the golden era
of silent films.
We think Mr. Jordan would enjoy himself. And we think you will,
